We are not vegetarians nor are we vegans but daughter came across this gem while out with a vegan friend Wow.....heard it was tasty....but a vegan or vegiterian will say that! So had a go ourselves it was fantastic tasty food, great variety of hot and cold food Constantly refreshed. Wonderful concept of putting on the plate what you want and all gets weighed and you pay for it.our plates on average were £10 each and we were satisfied Then how could we say no to a pudding? Gave that a go s well, nice choices,a bit from each♀️ and needless to say was good as well. Will definitely be back You don't have to be a vegetarian or vegan to enjoy tasty food with a slight difference
Creative concept. Great food. Wonderful atmosphere. Friendly staff. Location in train depot is inspired. I am not vegetarian but vegetarian menu is palatable and the variety gives everyone a choice that should allow them to enjoy their meal.
Whilst shopping in London we fancied a quick tea and cake and cake across this lovely restaurant. We were greeted with friendly faces, I ordered 2 English breakfast teas, almond croissant and a carrot and walnut muffin. The tea was organic and was absolutely lovely and the cakes were both delicious. There was a lovely vibe and comfy seats. I will definitely visit this place again, the food looked lovely too
If I had visited the toilets first I would not have eaten here.
There were four cubicles, of which two were locked with no one in them. Another had water leaking all over the floor and a sanitary bin overflowing (literally). The toilet basin in the fourth was full of water and nothing else was going to fit into it.
There was a bell on the wall with instructions to ring it if there was a problem with the toilets. Another customer had been waiting for five minutes and no one had replied, so I range the bell. I rang again, and then again. No one came.
It is often rumoured that toilets are a good reflection of the kitchens. Goodness knows what the kitchens at Tibits must be like if they are prepared to put on show such disgusting toilets.

The food was fantastic as always which is why I keep coming back to Tibits, and as a gluten-free vegetarian there is nowhere else that offers such choice, but I do wish they had friendlier staff on the tills as they are consistently miserable. I visited on Friday (23rd Nov) and we had gone to the trouble of booking a table for the four of us to sit upstairs. I was the first to arrive and the less-than-friendly waitress told me our table was downstairs (where we didn't want to sit). When we got to the table I saw that two of the seats were stools so I told the waitress that was not acceptable (as I didn't want to be booking an osteopath the following day) so I asked for a table with chairs. She told me "this is the table reserved for you" so I told her again that we were not sitting on stools for the evening. Eventually I persuaded her to let us have another table. So, don't bother booking a table upstairs as they will just put you downstairs and you may have to sit on a stool in which case you'll need a strong back. Also the ladies toilets were disgusting - I visited at 9pm and there was no paper and they were really smelly (sorry).

A disappointing selection of veggie food which promised so much. The hot food wasn’t actually hot and the cold food was pretty bland. Wouldn’t go back as it reminded me too much of school lunches. Much better veggie restaurants in London. Not a patch on The Gate or Mildred’s.
Upon our arrival we were warmly greeted by Edmond who took the time to explain the concept of this restaurant. Weighing your food is a new concept for me which made me be very conservative with the amount I served myself from salad bar. That was a good thing coz I had small samples of some of the dishes that appealed to me and enjoyed it. Also had a great fresh lemongrass tea as per photo shared and the best softest most delicious brownie ever! I want the recipe!! Totally oblivious to the fact that this was a vegetarian restaurant till after we left! A large selection of vegan & vegetarian dishes. I’m neither myself, nevertheless I love vegetarian food. The one guy who served us from behind the bar was probably new, did not have the best attitude. He served my hot tea in a regular glass which was a bit hot to handle. Then there was a mix up with their offer of 1 hot drink and cake/desert that they didn’t apply to the bill but the lovely lady behind the bar rectified and refunded the difference. Overall I’d definitely go back and try more of the options of the salad bar. Good job I live thousands of miles away or I’d be there for the brownies as often as possible. I’ll be back next time I’m in London!

Hey, you! Yes, you. What if we told you that you were only 25 minutes away from this fresh & crunchy barley salad? The recipe for this beauty with fresh carrots and parsnips is on the blog, link in bio. 🥕🍁🍂
35 years vege now and being able to walk in to a place and fill my plate with great food was just like a dream come true. Alas in my excitement I ordered more than I can eat, but my overloaded big plate was still less than £15. Great food, nice ambience to the place,, friendly but efficient staff, high value, great location...
Entered this busy restaurant at lunch hours. Ms Jacqueline from the buffet table told us to first get seats and showed us how to select and pay for our food. Thank you Jacqueline for making our dining experience wonderful and memorable.
Don't go there, I really question their health and safety standards. I visited not long ago and as I started diving into the tomato salad, I discovered several black hair (I'm blond). I then immediately complained and was not even offered an apology or a refund. Unacceptable management and terrible cleaning conditions apparently... Also completely overrated and expensive.
Here you pile up your plate with what you fancy. And with this choice you fancy a lot! The value for money is excellent and the variety of dishes amazing. There is a range of 'expected' vegetarian food such as veggie lasagna and Greek salad but there are also different foods such as parsnip mash/ tofu stir fries. The sweets are also interesting again with a range that fits 'standard' but also different kinds of fruit crumble and mango drinks to go with them.
Food so delicious it can convert carnivores to vegetarians !!!
Absolutely flawless in the cuisine and quality. A waste not want not design they let you choose whatever you want and bill you by the weight of your plate. How great is that??:-) ( Ok not so good if you are a hungry guy like me but still, the food has made me seriously consider vegetarianism). I have yet to eat a “bad dish” at this restaurant. It reminds me a little of the other superb swiss restaurant at the Swiss Centre in Leicester Square in the 1980’s-1990 time frame (Marché).
Met a friend who chose this restaurant, I had not been before but had heard of it. We walked in on vegan night.
I have to say I am not a fan of buffets, luke warm food etc - but I thought the quality of food here is good. Nice setting and fit out, nice ambience and quite liked the whole concept. I left a card at the bar to save paying everytime we wanted a drink, some food, some desert.... so all good. You pay for your food by weight.
Friendly staff, good food, nice surroundings - its not silver service - its self service but I enjoyed it
As vegetarians it is always a big + to find a vegetarian restaurant and we wanted to try Tibits as it was the little sister of Hiltl. Thw food was good but selection lacked almost all vegan/vegetarian proteins so it was hard to get a full stomack. For a light lunch would recommend but not for dinner.
Happy world vegan month!

nice place for vegetarians, but food seems microwave quality level.
We came here every year when we went to london because we loved the vegetarian concept. This year it was just plain wrong and we regret going here. My wife ordered a chai latte, which tasted like a really awkward mix of stuff. I ordered a Mango Lassi, and the milk just tasted sour, didn't drink it. My wife went back with her Chai Latte and they said it was not supposed to be prepared like that. The new chai was better, only slightly. Next the food, the nice thing about tibits is its buffet. Just grab a bit of a lot of dishes to taste them, and hopefully be surprised. I was definately surprised how the food had no real tastes to explore and to my nearest comparison resembles microwaved foods. Just not fresh, barely hot or with any interesting taste combinations. The chef should eat out more at other restaurants, and taste the food before plating it. We both left most of the food on our plates and went away. We won't be here ever again.
Surprisingly good veggie food for all fussy eaters in the family!
Enjoying most veggie food but not specifically seeking out this kind of restaurant or strict non-meat diet we happened upon Titbits, primarily due to its proximity to a bar we had been to, but also as it was starting to rain and inside looked warm and inviting. We were not disappointed!
I loved the buffet style and how you pay on weight of food. Four of us had ample food on the plate and averaged out about £14.00 each plateful. The choice of items and appeal of the food (colour, smell, consistency) was good. My older teenage boys who usually opt for a burger and chips were pleasantly surprised by how good the food was and enjoyed it.
Seating was a little cramped (space around the tables) but we managed. The decor was pleasant and inviting and sitting on the ground floor was preferable to being in the spacious basement area (but there weren't any issues with it - just our choice).
Overall a great find and would definitely eat here again, especially if dining with vegetarian or vegans.
I stopped off here for a late lunch and had a delicious and healthy plateful of vegan food. It is buffet style with around 30 different types of hot and cold salads and meals to help yourself too (and about 5-8 desserts!) you can choose a variety of sized plates and it’s pay by weight. The food is clearly signed to its ingredients and allergens. The oyster mushrooms and kale salad thing was insane Lovely chilled vibe in the restaurant especially through the back. My plate came to £11.50 which I thought was quite Expensive for what I got but I think that’s standard London prices and it was Worth it!
