02.12.10Jubilee – we are celebrating 10 years tibits!

In the beginning there was the idea of high quality vegetarian restaurant with an uncomplicated and feel good atmosphere. This idea, coming from the own needs of the three brothers Christian, Daniel and Reto Frei, was very much liked by the committee of the business plan competition Venture and the tibits concept received two awards. The only thing missing was a gastronomic expert with the necessary experience who was found in Rolf & Marielle Hiltl, the owners of the oldest vegetarian restaurant in Europe, the Zurich Hiltl. The chemistry was right from the start and the addition perfect. Together they founded a new company and developed the original concept.

December 2000 marked the opening of the first tibits located in Zurich. 10 years of vegetarian delicacies from tibits needs to be celebrated! We have come up with a little surprise for all visitors and congratulators.. just pop by on December 9th 2010 and join the celebrations! We are very much looking forward to your visit and would like to thank you for your loyalty!

To all friends of the vegetarian cuisine we whole-heartedly recommend the very first tibits cookbook “tibits at home”, which will be published on December 9th 2010 to celebrate our jubilee! 50 favourite vegetarian recipes to recreate at home, beautifully illustrated! For now the cookbook is only available in German and can be purchased in our Swiss restaurants as well as on the Swiss tibits website. The English version will be available next year.
